Title:  Electrical Estimator

Our company is an established full-service facility services, security, and electrical contracting firm located in the Denver metro area.  We are looking for a highly experienced electrical estimator to join our team on commercial, multi-unit residential construction, medical and government project designs.  The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a background in both electrical and low voltage structured cabling estimating and project management.  Energy and enthusiasm are a must along with an excellent attention to detail.  The successful applicant will become a key part of the management team of the company, helping to develop and execute our growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimator for all mid- to large-scale commercial, multi-unit residential construction, medical and government project designs.
• Work with the sales team to determine the customer requirements and needs.
• Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals by thorough evaluation of specs, plans and other bid materials.
• Coordinate with general contractors to ensure accurate bids; develop relationships with Estimating departments.
• Work with the sales and engineering manager to schedule and maintain the company bid calendar.
• Work with the operations installation team and Project Managers to transition sold projects over to the installation team.
• Maintain records of all bids; perform pre-bid & post-bid analysis.
• Organize and prepare scope of work and price proposals.
• Manage vendor relationships including the solicitation of project material quotes.
• Ensure consistency between requirements, vendor quotes, and project submittals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience on complex, large-scale electrical and low voltage projects.
• Direct experience with commercial estimating packages (e.g. Quotewerks, ConEst, AccuBid) is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successful bidding.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills with particular expertise in MS Word and Excel and material takeoff programs.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply the National Electrical Code.
• Substantial field electrical experience and technical knowledge of equipment and components.
• AutoCAD, SmartDraw or similar programming knowledge
• NICET Fire certified a plus

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Possess valid Colorado driver’s license with minimal traffic violations.  Have no previous criminal record.  Having an active security clearance, highly desirable.
